Session Title: Advanced Control Methods for Autonomous Vehicles

Organized by: Prof. Gáspár Péter, HUN-REN SZTAKI

Introduction:
The session focuses on the novel control design techniques for autonomous vehicles, especially data-driven, learning-based and advanced robust design methods. The motivation of the session is provided by the recent trends in autonomous vehicles, such as the coordination of ground and aerial vehicles, the inclusion of environmental perception in autonomous vehicles, or the problem of guaranteeing performance requirements. The objectives of the session are to investigate the theoretical background of the issues and to find advanced control solutions via robust, model predictive, nonlinear or parameter-varying methods. Examples of autonomous vehicle applications that are within the scope of the session include (but are not restricted to) multi-vehicle systems, coordinated vehicle control in transport systems, and simulation and testing approaches for data-driven vehicle control.
